Help Me Grow
Wiregrass 211 proudly partners with the Alabama Partnership for Children to bring the Help Me Grow (HMG) program to families in our region.
Help Me Grow is a nationally recognized model that connects children and families to essential health, developmental, and community resources—helping ensure every child has the strongest possible start in life.
How Help Me Grow Works
Help Me Grow supports children from birth through age 8 by linking families to the services they need for healthy development and school readiness.
Through a coordinated system of care, HMG helps identify concerns early and connects families with trusted local providers and support programs.
Program Components
1. Making the Connection
Help Me Grow receives referrals and inquiries about a child’s development, assesses needs, and connects families to appropriate services and resources.
2. Building the Network
We collaborate with community organizations to maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date directory of local resources for children and families.
3. Educating Providers
HMG works with healthcare providers, educators, and community professionals to promote developmental screening and early intervention.
4. Identifying Gaps and Barriers
By collecting and analyzing data, HMG identifies service gaps and works to improve access to care across the community.
